Summer Theater Arts Camp

kids

  • The Airedale Theatre Department at Alma High School is excited to offer a week-long
production camp each summer for current Alma School District students grades K-12.

  • Our camp takes place from Monday through Saturday, culminating with a special performance
for our friends and family at the end of the week.

  • In just six days the student campers will rehearse and perform a fun and engaging musical for
    their family and friends.

  • Children who take theatre camps and classes are often inspired to explore their creativity
through various forms of expression such as acting, singing, dancing, and improvisation.
Engaging in these activities can help children improve their self-confidence and help develop
their imagination and creative thinking skills.

  • Many activities related to the arts require teamwork and collaboration. Children learn to work
together with their peers, respect each other's contributions, and collectively strive towards a
common goal, such as putting on a successful performance.

  • Ultimately, our performing arts camp offers students an opportunity to have fun, make new
friends, and create lasting memories. Most kids probably won’t remember the experience of
sitting at home staring at a screen as well as they will remember that special opportunity to
“shine” on stage in front of friends and family. The joy of performing and the sense of
accomplishment from mastering new skills can contribute to a positive overall experience.

  • Cost is $25 per student. $40 for two students. $50 total for three or more students.
